The initial spark for what would become Baking Me Crazy was ignited 17 years ago when Lauren Buczkowski decided to make the cake for her son’s 1st birthday. The task that started with “Oh, I can do this” ended with a beautiful, delicious cake at 4am! Side note: The self-taught baker’s skills and speed have come a long way since then!

For years Lauren, a mom of four and dental hygienist, baked only for friends and family with the occasional special occasion cake. Then, in 2023, she made a cookie cake for her daughter’s 5th birthday to share at school. The people went crazy over it! In that moment Lauren knew she wanted to officially turn her passion into a business and Baking Me Crazy was born. Now she creates everything from simple cakes to intricate wedding and special occasion cakes, decorated cookies, cake pucks, cupcakes, and more! 

Baking Me Crazy is a South Carolina cottage law business, which means Lauren is licensed to bake and sell certain items directly from her home kitchen. She puts a lot of love and care into perfecting her recipes to ensure everything she makes is as delicious as it is beautiful.

Why Greenville? 

Lauren and her husband love exploring all the new restaurants in the area.  “There’s always something new and exciting to try”, states Lauren. They also enjoy spending time outdoors, especially relaxing at the lake whenever they get the chance.

New Projects for Baking Me Crazy

Baking Me Crazy is excited to now offer edible printed items on her very own cookie printer. Lauren can create everything from small custom orders to large corporate events featuring logos, photos, and more printed on anything from as small as M&M's, to cookies, marshmallows, donuts etc. Shipping is only allowed within South Carolina per cottage law.
